Oxford Instruments announces Dr. Isabel Guillamón as winner of the 2015 Nicholas Kurti Science Prize for Europe

Dr. Isabel GuillamónThe prize is awarded by a committee of senior academics based throughout Europe and consist of consists of: a cash prize, a certificate and trophy and support to attend a conference of winner choice where the prize is awarded and the opportunity given to present your research. Dr Isabel Guillamón is recognised for her work on vortices in superconductors, particularly for imaging experiments made with exquisite detail covering four orders of magnitude in size, from looking on the spectroscopy of vortex cores at atomic scale, to viewing thousands of vortices at micron scale. She will be presented with the prize trophy at a future science conference in Europe, where she will present her research work.
