The IFIMAC Visiting Researchers Programme 2026 is part of IFIMAC’s strategy to strengthen internationalization and enhance research excellence within the framework of the María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence project.
The call aims to support temporary research stays (1–3 months) by internationally recognized researchers from institutions outside the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Visitors will collaborate with IFIMAC research groups, deliver at least one scientific seminar, and may also participate in Master’s and PhD training activities.
Research stays may take place between 1 June 2026 and 31 December 2027.
Eligible applicants are established researchers external to UAM whose visit significantly contributes to IFIMAC’s strategic research lines and to the objectives of the María de Maeztu 2023 project.
Applications must include:
- CV of the visiting researcher
- Research proposal for the stay
- Name of the IFIMAC host researcher
- Expressions of interest from other IFIMAC researchers

Proposals will be evaluated by IFIMAC’s Steering Committee based on scientific excellence, strategic alignment, potential impact, and the ability to foster broad and sustainable collaborations across IFIMAC groups.
