Exploring the Hidden Laws of Physics at CEIP Tomás y Valiente

Exploring the Hidden Laws of Physics at CEIP Tomás y Valiente - Featured

What happens when air disappears? Why do some objects float and others sink? How does pressure work? To answer these puzzles, a team of students and research staff organised, on 20 April, a hands-on science workshop at the CEIP Tomás y Valiente school (Velilla de San Antonio). During this workshop, 7 and 8-year-old students directly explored three key concepts in physics: pressure, buoyancy, and vacuum.

Many thanks to the team members: Alberto López Rodríguez, Antonio Estacio Mateos, Álvaro Bueso Higueras, Irene Maffiotte Hwang, Ainhoa Trueba Raya, Chiara Tramarin, Jorge García Inglés, Yago Casado Molinero and Salvatore Assenza Di Raimondo. Thanks also to Paula Obladen Aguilera, Hermann J. Suderow Rodríguez, Edwin Herrera Vasco and Isabel Guillamón Gómez for the materials provided, and to Ángela Hernández Galán for the organisation at CEIP Tomás y Valiente.
