XXXII International Summer School Nicolás Cabrera. “Condensed Matter Meets Quantum Technologies”

XXXII International Summer School Nicolás Cabrera. "Condensed Matter Meets Quantum Technologies" - Featured

The International Summer School “Nicolás Cabrera” series has been addressing cutting-edge topics in materials science, condensed matter, and material physics since 1994. The School gathers scientists from around the world for a few days of intense scientific exchange in a uniquely pleasant and interactive environment. The 32nd edition will focus on quantum technologies based on condensed matter platforms. Over the past two decades, quantum technologies have progressed at a remarkable pace, evolving from fundamental scientific discoveries to early-stage commercial applications. This “second quantum revolution” is driven by our growing ability to harness quantum mechanical principles and translate them into transformative functionalities for sensing, cryptography, telecommunications, and computing. Despite substantial progress, identifying robust and scalable physical implementations of quantum devices remains a major challenge. Within this dynamic landscape, this year’s INC Summer School will focus on recent developments in quantum devices based on condensed matter systems. The school will bring together internationally recognized researchers in the fields of superconducting circuits, semiconductor qubits, hybrid superconductor-semiconductor systems and quantum thermodynamics, to provide a comprehensive overview, from fundamental concepts to cutting-edge advances, covering experimental platforms, enabling technologies, and modern theoretical approaches. The school is aimed at PhD students, as well as postdoctoral researchers. Participants may, if they wish, present their work as posters, with a special selection of a few oral contributions.[Full New]
