International Conference: II Novel 2D materials explored via scanning probe microscopy & spectroscopy - 2DSPM

We are glad to announce the upcoming International Conference entitled “II Novel 2D materials explored via scanning probe microscopy & spectroscopy (2DSPM)” that will be held in San Sebastian (Spain) on June 29th-July 3rd, 2020.

After the success of the first 2DSPM conference (see http://2dspm.dipc.org), we have decided to consolidate the format in a biennial basis.

In 2D materials, essentially everything takes place on the surface and, consequently, SPM techniques have produced some of the most exciting works in these unique materials. We believe that a focused 2DSPM workshop will represent a very stimulating environment facilitating the easy flow of knowledge and ideas between participants.

The aim of the conference is to bring together a leading group of 40 – 50 researchers, in addition to students and postdocs to share the latest contributions made by SPM in the field of 2D materials – theory and experiment -.We will have 25 renowned invited speakers (see confirmed list attached) and additional participants who will contribute with contributed talks (28) or posters (70).

The deadline for submitting abstracts for contributed talks and posters is February, 14th 2020.

The abstract must be submitted following the template available HERE and sent it to 2dspm@dipc.org. The type of contribution preferred (oral/poster) must be specified in the subject of the email. If you have any doubt, please contact 2dspm@dipc.org.

Further information regarding the conference will be posted at our website: http://2dspm.dipc.org

The 2DSPM organizers:

  • Miguel M. Ugeda (Donostia International Physics Center, DIPC).
  • Iván Brihuega (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, UAM).
