Title: Two-dimensional Material Production and Energy Applications.
When: Friday, 23th November, 2018, at 12:00.
Place: Sala de Seminarios, Módulo 03, Facultad de Ciencias, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
Speaker: Vittorio Pellegrini, IIT Graphene Labs, Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Bedimensional Spa, Genova, Italy.
In this talk I shall present recent progresses on the large-scale production of graphene, two-dimensional (2D) crystals and related composites for industrial applications [1]. I will focus in particular on energy storage [2] showing how graphene and other 2D material-based composites can be used as anodes and cathodes for the next generation of high-power lithium batteries [3-8].
