IFIMAC Postdoc Wins Marie Curie Fellowship

This spring, new IFIMAC postdoctoral fellow Jacob A. Busche was awarded a Marie Skłodowska Curie European Postdoctoral Fellowship under the project name PhonologiQ to pursue theoretical research into the fundamental performance limits of phonon polaritons as mediators and modulators of quantum light at the nanoscale. He is particularly interested in the ways by which the interplay of phononic resonances and nanoscopic nonlinear optical materials might provide robust and practical platforms for harnessing quantum information at room temperature, and will pursue his research under the advice of IFIMAC faculty members Antonio I. Fernández-Domínguez and Johannes Feist.

Congratulations and bienvenido a Madrid, Jake!
