Remarkably, across the superconductor-insulator transition driven by disorder and magnetic field, both the BCS and Anderson localization paradigms are broken. I will discuss the behavior of the gap, the superfluid density, and the dynamical conductivity across the transition. I will also compare our theoretical results obtained with a combination of self-consistent Bogoliubov de-Gennes and quantum Monte Carlo techniques with experiments and highlight the open questions in the field.
