PhD Position on Thermoelectric Effects in Single-molecule Devices

PhD Position on Thermoelectric Effects in Single-molecule Devices

This position is part of the project: “Quantum Interference Enhanced Thermoelectricity” funded by the EU Horizon 2020 FET-Open research and innovation actions programme.

The goal of this project is to exploit quantum interference in molecules to enable new thermoelectric materials and devices with unprecedented efficiency. Work involves the fabrication and characterization of single-molecule junctions and self-asembled monolayers using state-of-the-art scanning probe techniques. This work will be supervised by Prof. Nicolás Agraït.

Candidates, who must have started or completed their master studies in Physics or Chemistry, and must be willing to embark on a doctorate, are invited to send their applications (motivation letter, CV, references) to Prof. Nicolás Agraït (nicolas.agrait@uam.es).
