Description of the project: The main goal of this project consists in exploring novel physical phenomena emerging from the strong light-matter interaction taking place between quantum emitters and topological photonic structures. To tackle this problem, we will apply both first-principles calculations of photonic band structures as well as numerical quantum electrodynamical simulations. The world-class research environment of IFIMAC will be one of the key ingredients for the successful realization of this project.
