We are looking for a pre-doctoral researcher for a 4-year position in the framework of a State Research Project that addresses the monolithic integration of 2D materials, plasmonics and ferroelectrics for novel functionalities in the field of Nanophotonics.
The candidate will be trained in the fundamentals of versatile experimental techniques with broad applicability in the areas of Materials Science, Nanotechnology and Nanophotonics. She/he will also be trained in numerical calculations, which will contribute to the description and understanding of the optical response of the materials.
The research group has a recognized position in the field of optical properties of materials and maintains a good number of international collaborations. The training plan could also include short stays in foreign research centers as essential complement to the activities carried out within the framework of the project. In addition, this would lead to the PhD International Mention.
Strong interest in Nanophotonics, Material science or Condensed Matter Physics will be valued.
Requirements:
- Master studies in Physics, Materials Science, Photonics, or related fields completed before the beginning of the academic year 23-24.
