Paloma Arroyo Huidobro, a researcher at IFIMAC, has been awarded the ERC Starting Grant 2023, one of 400 grants awarded by the European Research Council to early-stage researchers (out of 2696 proposals submitted). These grants help researchers to launch and develop innovative projects in various fields, ranging from medicine and physics to social sciences and humanities.
The main objective of her project TIMELIGHT is to explore and exploit novel effects in the interplay between light and matter that occur when light is confined at the nanoscale in temporally varying media.
